We know that a mile in heels can cause discomfort, but it's not as painful as a heart attack. We had so much fun today as we walked in our red high heel shoes and Ms California BOA 40's - Shelly A Muñoz spoke of heart health, show-casing the "Little Red Drees" purse designed by Cheryl Frye @Couture Artisans, which will be auctioned off tonight to bring much needed funds for heart awareness.
February is American Heart Month, and this "Red High Heels" walk will raise money to help fund heart health programs in Long Beach. Although heart disease is sometimes thought of as a "man's disease," it is the leading cause of death for both women and men in the United States. Since 1984, the number of heart disease deaths in women has exceeded those for men.
